Important Licensing Information

Please read carefully before applying.

At this time, New Jersey does not formally recognize Apprenticeship as a pathway to cosmetology licensure.

The DSimone Texture Academy Registered Apprenticeship Program is designed to provide paid work experience, structured training, mentorship, and career development within the textured hair industry.

While Apprentices gain valuable professional skills and workforce experience, participation in the Apprenticeship Program alone does not currently result in New Jersey cosmetology licensure.

DTA is actively working to expand educational and licensure pathway opportunities for future participants.

Prospective participants should review all program information carefully and contact DSimone Texture Academy with any questions regarding licensing requirements and career pathways.
